The Gluten Free Bistro Donates Product to Loveland’s House of Neighborly Service

Boulder, CO (December 9, 2009) —The Gluten Free Bistro is giving this back this season with a percentage of sales being donated in product to Loveland’s House of Neighborly Service, www.honservice.org. This organization is the new test site for organizer Dee Valdez to develop a systematic approach to establishing Gluten Free Food Banks across the nation. Feeding gluten-free families in need is an overlooked cause that needs to be addressed now as the diagnosis of celiac disease and gluten intolerance continues to improve. Gluten-free food donations are now being accepted at House of Neighborly Service, 565 N. Cleveland, Loveland, CO 80537.  Please identify the food as such when dropped off. 

Kelly McCallister, CFO of The Gluten Free Bistro states, “Because gluten-free products are more expensive and for some hard to find we wanted to give back in product to help those need. We hope going forward to continue these efforts and provide other food products as our line grows. One should not have to make the choice to eat gluten-containing foods in hard times and it is an honor to help Dee Valdez achieve her goal and educate the public about the need to provide gluten-free foods to the food banks.”

The Gluten Free Bistro was founded by three gluten-intolerant locals who were dissatisfied with the gluten-free pizza crusts available. After many years, they have perfected delicious, nutritious gluten-free products and are pleasing the palates of all who taste them. These products are truly nutritious and provide B vitamins, protein, fiber and minerals.
